This presentation will provide an overview of SENS Innovation, a Copenhagen-based company specialising in sensor-based activity tracking. They focus on the core technology — the SENS motion® wearable sensor and the centralised study app, MOTUS — which together capture movement, posture, daily activity patterns, and questionnaire responses, all securely transmitted to the cloud.
They will outline how these solutions support both clinical research and public health applications, such as monitoring patient mobility and motivating recovery, as well as enabling researchers to collect high-fidelity accelerometer data in large-scale field studies.
The presentation will also addresses two key challenges in movement behaviour assessment: validity, ensuring that sensor measurements accurately reflect real-world activity; and long-term remote monitoring, maintaining reliable data collection over extended periods. They will highlight how their technology and infrastructure are designed to address these challenges and deliver actionable insights for study administrators.
